# Welcome

SonicAlpha is the podcast wire for public markets — turning
conversations into structured, ticker-tagged investment insights.

Important market discussions increasingly happen on podcasts. Fund
managers explain their theses, operators describe what
they are seeing in their industries, and experts offer informed views
on the latest developments — including perspectives that never make it
into written research. The
podcast universe produces nearly 25 million hours of content a year,
across tens of thousands of shows. No investor can monitor it manually.

SonicAlpha monitors that universe continuously. We identify the
conversations relevant to public markets and break them into individual
**insights**, each tagged with the companies and tickers discussed, the
speaker, the source, and the date. The result is a structured,
searchable record of informed opinion.

Investors use SonicAlpha to source ideas, test a thesis, understand
market expectations, map the arguments, and track what changes over
time. Sources like filings, earnings calls, and news tell you what
happened. SonicAlpha complements them with what market participants

## How it works

Most integrations use two endpoints:

### Ask

`POST /v1/insights/ask`

Ask a research question in natural language. SonicAlpha agentically
searches the corpus and returns the most relevant evidence. It can also
synthesize that evidence into a cited answer.

### Search

`POST /v1/insights/search`

Search the insight corpus directly using queries and filters such as
ticker, speaker role, sentiment, podcast, or date. Use Search when you
want to handle ranking, orchestration, or synthesis yourself.
